Baby Formula

Supplemental Baby Formula

WIC encourages breast/chestfeeding as the main source of nutrition for infants. However, since breast/chestfeeding may not be an option for everyone, WIC provides infants with supplemental formulas if they are not exclusively breastfed. Until their first birthday, infants are eligible to receive a monthly allowance of baby formula. Mom scan choose from various formulas including Similac Advance, Similac Total Comfort, Similac Sensitive, and Similac Soy Isomil. This variety of infant formula options enables parents to select a formula that meets their infants’ dietary requirements, particularly if the child experiences issues such as gas, fussiness, spit up, or other digestive issues. You can return unopened baby formula cans to your WIC clinic for reimbursement if you decide to change your baby’s formula. Infants who do not benefit from the above types can have their doctor request special formulas to meet special medical circumstances. Click for formula
